Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

This place is awesome! I love brick oven pizza, and I don't know if I have had better pizza! The Brandys Luau is the best! (BBQ Chicken pizza) It would be perfect if they would add real pineapple instead of canned pineapple, but it's still great! The pepperoni was great as well, but pepperoni is my favorite pizza!! I don't not have any complaints at all. The breadsticks are awesome and the sauce makes them a must to get. Every time we come to St George, it is a must that we stop here to eat!!

Ordered the Minoan and Carnivore pizzas for the lunch special. $7.99 for a personal pizza and soda is a fair price. The Minoan was not that great since the ingredients would have been much better in a salad instead of a pizza. The Carnivore was good... How could you go wrong with a wood fired pizza with a bunch of meat on it?! The food was good and I liked the vibe of the people working there. The reason for 3 instead of 4 stars is because of the 25-30 minute wait for the pizza to be done :-/
(3)Rhonda D.
Passing through town and stopped here based on the reviews on Yelp. We were not disappointed. Kids wanted the classic pepperoni and cheese...so that's what we got. It's a small place with limited seating, but the pizza was great! Crust was nice and soft, even for a oven pizza. Sauce and cheese were equally good. Only downside was the grease, but what pizza isn't? Service was great...fresh pizza (with hand tossed dough) in 10 minutes. Can't beat that anywhere! Will definitely stop here again next time we are in town.

10 out of 10. Spartacus was awesome, crust is perfect and I love a little black on the crust! I will definitely be back to try another pizza and maybe a dessert pizza as well. We did arrive very close to closing, but the service was quick and good, and that was greatly appreciated as well.

I've been wanting to try Riggatti's Wood Fired Pizza for a while, but each time I stopped by there was a line out the door. Now that they have opened a location in Washington it has eased the line some at this location on Main St. Inside they have a counter top area with about 4 bar stools where you can eat and they have a few tables. It's not very big inside, so I will plan to get my food to-go on future visits because it gets crowded when it gets busy. The employees working were polite and helpful at suggesting menu items. The pizzas are cooked at a temperature between 700 and 800 degrees in a wood fire oven. I was told my pizza would take less than 10 minutes and that was accurate. Inside was clean and the menu was written on the wall in chalk. They also have menus that you can take to a table and look over. Riggatti's is a locally run family business. Cheese Pizza ($7 for medium) - I really enjoyed watching the pizza dough for my pizza be hand-tossed right in front of me. They have an open kitchen and you can see your pizza being made from start to finish. On the pizza was Riggatti's red sauce and a four cheese blend. Simple yet tasty. The crust was crisp on the bottom and soft on the top and had no problem holding the fair amount of four cheese blend either. The crust had just the right char underneath. For an additional charge of .50 cents I also ordered a side of ranch and it was a generous portion. I was impressed with the size and freshness of the pizza for the price. It's just a great deal. You can customize any size pizza to your liking or choose from some of the crazy concoctions that Riggatti's has come up with. They have pizzas that have cucumber, feta cheese, artichoke hearts, kebab meat and their own tzatziki sauce just to mention some of the toppings offered. They still have classics like pepperoni, veggies, etc. I just wanted to point out some of the not so common toppings offered as well. They also have salad, bread sticks and fruit pizzas for dessert if you still have room. Lunch special - Personal sized pepperoni or cheese pizza with a drink for $6.99 or any of the specialty pizzas for $1 more. 11 am - 2 pm only. Between 5-7 pm on Mondays only you can get a medium cheese or pepperoni pizza for just $5.99 which is a great deal.
(5)Steve B.
Pizza was a little too salty and not enough sauce for my preference. Dough consistency was great though! Just too salty, couldn't taste any other flavors.
(3)Frances K.
We have tried the Washington location 3 times, and each time we were disappointed. The pizza was mediocre, the service was about the same. Too bad, there was so much potential.
(2)Alex G.
OK pizza in St. George. They had only one waiter-pizzaiolo but the service was quick and kind. The pizza was OK, not fantastic, though, maybe too mich garlic in the tomato sauce.
(3)Christy O.
This is THE PLACE for pizza. There are so many choices, and the Margherita pizza is one my favorites with fresh mozzarella. Even better, the salads!! Amazing tastes and choices galore. A great local place. I prefer the location in Washington over St George, though. The staff is really nice, always ready to take your order.
(4)J R.
Pizza was decent. I wouldn't drive a long ways for it, but the crust was good. May or may not go there again.
(3)Dave N.
Riggatti's makes a solid pizza, but for wood-fired thin crust pizzas, its far from the best. I can see myself driving to Cedar to eat at Centro preferable to be honest. It is simply, hands down, the best pizza I've ever had. However, I am happy to see a place like this come to St George and attract a solid following. Their pizzas are well made, delicious, and they offer a good selection. Their dessert pizzas also look really tasty, but I haven't tried one yet. The restaurant itself is TINY. Be prepared to take your pizza elsewhere. Eating in is very cramped and uncomfortable. Fortunately we didn't go at a busy time, but I imagine during meal hours or popular days, the wait times and lines are likely disastrous. All in all, it was a solid, albeit slightly overpriced experience. Watching them toss the dough in the air is fun and helps offset the uncomfortable atmosphere. I would recommend it and see for yourself if its a place you'll love.
(3)Natalee B.
Ordered the Jo Sparticus and it was amazing. The crust was perfect, and the toppings were very unique and delicious! Also got the Georgia Peach dessert pizza which was pretty good as well.
(5)Sierra V.
Really good pizza! I wish their salad bar had better lettuce (more greens less iceberg lettuce)
(4)Travis P.
Now this is wood fired pizza at its best!!! Get the Islander with pepperoni instead of ham. Throw on some onions and green peppers to boot. Absolutely the best!
(5)Karl T.
Love the authenticity that they have at Riggatti's. Real brick oven artisan pizza. If you can manage a little wait for fresh old world-like pizza, calzones, and more than this is a great find!!! We love to come here everytime we visit family. The new Washington, UT location is even classier. Offering two levels of dining area, T.V., salad bar, and Pepsi products. Olive oil, parmesan cheese, and crushed red pepper at every table plus along the bar style eating area. You won't find anything like it until Vegas.
(5)Joanne S.
The carnivore made with sausage, pepperoni, bacon, ham and their cheese blend on a red sauce. The Riggatti made with olives, chicken, feta , cheese blend on a pesto sauce. Crust was light, thin n crispy . Excellent pizza! There isn't much seating for bigger parties though, saw a party of 6 walk out because of it. Although they do have counter seating. And 2 tables for 2.
(5)Kolby T.
I just went to their new location in Washington on Telegraph. They have made some great improvements. This location has 4 or 5 ovens so the pizzas come out much faster. There is plenty of space and seating, which the Main Street location is lacking. The pizza was amazing. I have to say, this is my favorite pizza in town now. I wish they had Coke instead of Pepsi though.
(5)Benjamin P.
Riggatti's exceeded expectations. The Margherita is my wife's favorite it of other Italian influenced pizzas. Please eat here!
(5)Moya S.
Excellent! We were in the area for our family vacation. Took our family of 7, tried a little bit of everything, and loved it all. Calzones and pizzas are so good. Peach pizza and Nutella crostata were amazing! Wish we lived closer!
(5)Cambri V.
Pizza was OKAY. Service was less than okay. They were out of diet soda which is a crime in itself. You have to order your food by waiting in a long line and it takes even longer to get the food. Took 30+ minutes to get one pizza and a salad. The salad was just terrible. They didn't give even give us dressing. You have to get your own from the salad bar (which was downstairs) and there was no dressing cups. Everything sounded good on the menu but was not good on execution. I won't be back.
(2)Shelby T.
Best pizza in town by far! The ingredients are very high quality and the taste is outstanding! Friendly, awesome service! I would recommend this to anyone. The pizza is a little more expensive than others in town but the quality of the pizza is worth the price! And they now have started to do $5 pizzas on Mondays! The cinnamon sticks are also amazing. I will be back!
(5)Jenny G.
I loved this place. Super nice people and the personal size pizza was perfect. I opted fur the Greek one with feta, dill, and gyro. Really different from the norm and a nice change!
(5)Nicole J.
Great pizza, nice flavor in the cheese, and super kind workers. I think wood fired pizza needs to be eaten right away though, it doesn't sit well for carry outs. Or maybe ours just needed to be cooked longer?
(4)Clint P.
Pizza like i've never tasted before... And that's a good thing!
(5)Justin H.
Jospartacus pizza was the best ever!! Great service!! Not much seating but as good as the food is spots open up fast. I have tried a few other pizza all have been great!!!
(5)Jesse G.
Pizza was delicious after a long day hiking at zion. The only thing that sucked was the wait. But I can't get mad at a wait when the food is so good. They were very busy and rightfully so!
(5)Emily J.
Literally the best pizza I have eaten anywhere in Utah. The new washington location is very convenient to my workplace and we eat there often. There is lots of space and more ovens than the main street location so you can get your food quicker and enjoy a sit down meal on the main floor or upstairs. The salad bar is also great! My personal favorite is the delicious CBR (Chicken, Bacon, Ranch) or the Margherita wood fired pizzas. The bread dipping sauce is also to die for!
(5)Robert W.
By far the best pizza in stg. Delicious food, excellent service, friendly staff. Not much more you can ask for in a restaurant. Simply put: if you are looking for pizza look no further in the greater stg area.
(4)Bob S.
By chance we walked in from out of town. Wow! What a great find. Ordered the Carnivore (pepperoni, sausage, bacon & ham). The first thing I noticed was not the meat it was the SAUCE! OMG it tasted like real vine ripe tomatoes. I had to ask and was told it wasn't out of a can it was made there in house. First but not the last visit.
(5)Jenjamyma J.
Super delish Za! The peach mozzarella dessert pizza is definitely a must! Love the wood fire taste and crispness. The breadsticks aren't the best, but their pizzas are yum to the tum! The only downside is there's not a lot of seating. Get the pizza to go and you're golden.
(5)Peggy R.
Talk about a disappointment! Given the Yelp reviews we were excited to stop in on our road trip back home after spending the week in Zion. The lady who took our order said it would take 25 min so we agreed to stay. In actuality it took 40 min because they made someone else's order before ours (they ordered after we did!) And to top it all off, the pizzas only take 2 min to make in their oven! (she kindly shared that info with us). Wouldn't go here if you're in a hurry or want good pizza (was only so-so!)
(1)Tom D.
This place rocks. Love the thin, crispy crust and generous high-quality toppings. Super courteous staff. My fav is The Phil, which is a traditional meaty mix. My wife is mostly gluten-free but will abandon that to have this pizza occasionally..."It's worth it," she says. Had family down visiting from Salt Lake City a few weekends ago, and I got a few pizzas for dinner. They asked where I got the pizza, because it's better than most of their choices up there. That's a compliment.
(5)Eric N.
This is a pretty good pizza place. There are only two tables and a small bar, so make sure that you either get there early or plan to take your pizza elsewhere. I had the JoSpartacus and the Alfredo. Delicious thin crust with plenty of toppings and a delectable tzatziki sauce that made the whole pizza. The only reason this didn't get five stars was the wait time. On a Tuesday night we went in and ordered at 6, but our pizza didn't come until 7 or so. A small operation, but worth the wait.
(4)Eddie P.
Outside of the limited seating (although I here they are opening. A new location in St. George that'll have more seating), the pizza was great. Crust is spot on an topping were delish! I definitely recommend to the discerning pizza enthusiast.
(4)Tyler C.
this is hands down the best pizza I have ever had! We got the carnivore pizza and aside from being cooked to perfection it was LOADED with toppings! When I first opened the box I thought it might be burnt, as it was a little black around the edges, but not at all. It. Was. Perfection. If you're in St. George, Go to this pizza shop.
(5)Boyd Z.
it took over one hour to get a pizza. and garlic bread. at 12:30 in the afternoon. I did not think it was worth the wait
(1)Eric K.
This is definitely some good pizza. I'm not a huge pizza fan in general, as it's just too greasy here in the USA. However, wood fired pizza is never greasy or at least should not be. This pizza was really tasty. I do not recall the name but my favorite had the cucumbers and tzaziki sauce. It was very good. The guy at the counter told me it was his favorite and wow I loved it. The margarita pizza was really good too. I thought the sausage on one was a really low quality sausage and that was a bummer. If you want pizza but not a greasy chain, then try this place
(4)Michele M.
Yum! Best pizza in town! I'm in East Coast Italian so I'm a little picky. This is the real deal when it comes to wood fired.
(5)Jenna G.
Amazing pizza! The crust was the best part. The wait was a bit long, especially if you end up ordering after two families. But it was worth the wait.
(5)Arlene A.
Loved this place! Great staff and the pizza was very tasty! Not much seating, but makes for a friendly atmosphere. We came here by looking on Yelp and the reviews were really great, so glad we came here!
(5)Mike M.
Stopped by here on the way through St. George. We just missed the lunch special, so we ordered a medium Riggatti's pizza - the pizza of the week. They had just made one to take pictures of, so we got the prettiest pizza I've ever seen! The flavor was awesome, and we ate WAY more than we should have. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.
(4)Andra M.
I found that, while their crust was delicious and crispy and cooked perfectly, their toppings tasted like they were out of a can. That's all fine and good if you're going to charge little. But if the sausage on my pizza tastes just like Pizza Hut sausage and I paid $27 for it, that is a problem. Half of my pizza was just pepperoni, and that tasted good. Not $27 good. But good. Beware of their sausage and olives . . .
(2)Gary R.
I have been to the new location twice now. No complaints about the pizza. Good stuff. The noise level is ridiculous as hell though. And if you have people upstairs with kids bouncing up and down it is downright gross. I just get the pizza to go and get out ASAP. No beer. You have to be kidding me Utah. Way overtime for the old geezer church to get out of the politics and let adults have a beer.
(3)Deborah W.
This is a great "pie". My experience with pizza spans time and is involved. New York, Boston, New Haven, Rome, etc. Not trying to brag but I'm always looking for an experience that defines true artisan pizza. This comes as close as you can get. My first observation was the dough. Chewy, filled with pockets of lightness and a slight char from the wood oven. You can taste the subtle flour to yeast ratio. How many times do you enjoy a pizza for the crust? This one you will. Just the right amount of sauce. The cheese does not overpower the pie. I always go for simplicity and ordered the cheese pizza. It was not on the menu, but I asked for a "white pie" as well. Olive oil, garlic and light on the cheese. Perfection. A bold garlic pie. I wish that I came here sooner. I did not believe that a great pizza was here in St George until now.
(5)Kendall S.
Visited the Washington City location, pizza and calzones were great, but today they started offering a special 4th of July dessert pizza, made with strawberries, blueberries and bananas. This was probably the best pizza dessert I have ever eaten.
(5)Lily K.
Service was great, friendly workers. The pizza was amazing. 15-20 minute wait, defiantly worth it. Really great desserts. Good portions.
(5)Alysia M.
5 tables reserved and no where to sit. We just moved to the area and decided to go out for pizza while we had family in town. We were waiting in line to order and my dad took my kids up to find a table to sit at. Before we ordered he came back down and said that there were 5 tables with no one sitting at them with a reserved sign on top, and other then that there was no where to sit. I asked the girl at the front and she didn't even seem to care. She just said, "umm sorry, yeah." Is that even a response. Well considering we had three small kids with us. We left. Don't know if I will ever be visiting there again.
(1)J D.
Great pizza! My husband and I got an XL cheese pizza (planning to have leftovers for lunch the next day). It was massive! We ate our fill for dinner and still had 5 slices left. They really load it up with cheese. The pizza had the perfect amount of char; i.e. a little but not too much. I can't recommend eating it cold the next day though, which we had to do for lunch because we were on day 3 of our cross country road trip...not a huge fan of huge wads of cold cheese!
(5)Genise V.
Excellent pizza! The location in St. George is for take out, but the opened up another location in Washington City, Utah that is dine -in.
(4)Ashley S.
Great pizza! Traveling through the area it's been the best find by far. Virtually no seating area but we took it to go after a long day of hiking so it was perfect.
(5)Edith G.
We had the carnivor /ham and pinapple it was delicious they were very fast and friendly!!!! The crust was amazing so thin and yummy!!! They are pricy but its worth it!!!
(5)JoAnn L.
Omg- I thought we came to Utah for Zion but this pizza is worth the drive from Cali. We ordered the margherita, Hawaiian, and all meat and everything was delicious. It's thin and crispy and the toppings are flavored perfectly to balance the dough. You mostly get the taste of toppings and their 4 cheese blend is good. Glad to hear they're expanding. Hope they grow enough to come to California
(5)Charlie W.
Wow - beware of RUDE service! Apparently, their business must be so good that they don't need customers! I arrive at 8:30pm on a Thurs evening. The place appears to be not very busy. I was the only person in the restaurant. After being ignored for a few minutes, the guy behind the counter finally acknowledges me and says, 'did you already order?' I say no. He says, 'it's going to be 40 to 45 minutes to get your food'. In other words he was saying 'Go away'! So I left. I won't be going back!
(1)Nick M.
Phenomenal pizza! And Bright friendly service. Truly a diamond in the rough of our local restaurants!
(5)Chris B.
Awesome pizza! Fast service with polite employees. I had a Buffalo Bob pizza. Basically a Hot wings flavored pizza. Really delicious!
(4)Spencer R.
The pizza here is incredible. It was done extremely fast, and my kids loved watching the guy toss the dough. I have been very critical of the food offerings in St. George, but this place is amazing pizza. As good as anything in SLC. They use really fresh ingredients, and the cheeses they use take a minute for your palate to taste it all. Soooo good.
(5)Joyce K.
Great crust! Loved the sauce! We had the margarita pizza. We will go back! Very small restaurant so I suggest take out.
(5)Rex J.
As far as pizza goes...I have pretty high expectations. I'm not one who indulges very often, but when I do I want it to be GOOD. Riggatti's did much better, they did GREAT!! My wife and I both love the place. The company I work for always uses them for our company pizza parties...when it comes to quality pizza...these guys nailed it!
(5)S S.
Absolutely delicious. There was a little wait, but as to be expected on a Friday night- we just browsed the shops next door until our pizza was ready. Very high quality ingredients too! We got the "Riggatti's" Pizza and an order of bread with their creamy red sauce and it was heaven, and very affordable! Highly recommend eating here!
(5)Gilad P.
I really liked this place. We were driving from Bryce to Las vegas, and stopped by here. They had a good variety of pizzas, and what was really interesting is that they sold salads with the same toppings as all the pizzas. We got a margarita pizza, which was delicious. The price was above average.
(4)Mark V.
Artesian Napoleon pizza at its best. Displays turns out real Italian pizza with great ingredients. It's nice to find a restaurant that cares about its craft
(5)Marilynn M.
The pizza was outstanding. The person on the phone when I ordered was very helpful. We are traveling and had stopped for the night. I highly recommend this pizza place !!! I give it 5 stars !!
(5)Kent V.
I really like the ambience of this establishment. The only reason I feel I need to diminish the score to a 4 star is based on the limited seating. There are 10 seats. It was nicely busy and we snagged some high stool seats. Some locals guided our choices. Chalk on the walls in the form of a menu was fun.
(4)Tina F.
All round excellent pizza. Good crispy-on-the-outside-soft-on-inside crust. A variety of tasty toppings, all for a pretty decent price Stay away from their salads! Just your basic, nasty iceberg lettuce that makes everything taste like shite, with boring and mundane dressing selections Good for take-away, but NOT a good sit-down location; uncomfortable chairs and all self-service. Drink choices are a joke if you're trying to stay away from sugar and/or caffeine... All you get is water :-/ Still... The pizza is good, so that's what's important.
(4)Frank M.
Yet another customer diverted from the freeway during an intense pizza craving! Craving solved! Would have been perfect with a mug of cold beer instead of a Pepsi!
(5)Alex A.
On the way back from a cross-country road trip, while looking for the nearest Round Table Pizza, my wife and I stumbled across Riggatti's Pizza. I'll admit, the first emotion I felt was a righteous anger at Google Maps for getting my hopes up. After a week and a half of sleeping in the car and eating salad out of a jar (along with an unholy amount of Subway), my stomach was dead set on the nostalgic deliciousness of Round Table's cheese pizza with extra marinara sauce on the side. I figured the internet couldn't possibly be stupid enough to mistake the words "Round Table" for "Riggatti's". My wife talked me out of my sullen depression and we pulled into the town of St. George, Utah just after the dinner rush. Riggatti's is cozy, sporting a small bar and two or three tables. The menu is handwritten on a large chalkboard mounted on the wall to the right of the counter. We ordered the Riggatti which has creamy pesto sauce topped with a four cheese blend, chicken, olives and feta cheese. While we waited for the pizza, we were the only ones in the place beside the working staff and another staff member who was just stopping by and wasn't currently on shift. All four of them were friendly and outgoing to the point where I don't even remember waiting for our pizza to be ready. It seemed like we blinked and there it was in front of us in all its fresh-cooked glory. I believe we ordered a medium which was definitely enough to fill us up. The head worker on shift (not sure if he was a manager or what) asked if we wanted to try a free slice of a custom pizza they had just made in the back and we eagerly agreed. We were each handed a delicious slice of pizza with ghost pepper cheese, Frank's Red Hot sauce & Italian sausage. If it ends up on the menu, I highly recommend trying it! All in all, whether you're in the St. George area or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop the car in front of Riggatti's. You won't regret it. We went in for pizza and came out with new friends.
(5)Jeremy L.
Ridiculous....ly GOOD that is. Honestly I can't really describe it, and they cook a pizza in 90 seconds! My local real estate team has ordered, and salivated over, Rigatti's at least 2x per month for the past year. I just ate it today at a little outdoor "shindig" catered by their mobile unit - HOLY CRAP! Best pizza in town. Period.
(5)Laura J.
One of the best pizza joints I've been to. I wish they would relocate to Salt Lake! Highly recommend the breadsticks, margherita pizza, and the peach cobbler. So scrumptious! They don't have much of a sit down area, it's really better for take out.
(5)Mireya G.
This place is simply awesome the pizza for me was one of the best I have ever had came from California on a trip to Utah with the craving for pizza tried this place was super crispy with delicious flavors on our pizza prices where great and customer service was extremely amazing ....
(5)Hunter A.
We came in on a Saturday afternoon on our way through St. George, and we loved it. The pepperoni pizza was delicious, and the toppings were all proportional; not once did i find myself thinking it had too much cheese or sauce. The wood fire oven adds a certain quality to the pizza, making it feel and taste more authentic than the larger chains can offer. The prices are very good as well. I paid a little less than fourteen dollars for a meal for two. Delicious! Wish I had this place closer to home! Check it out! You won't regret it.
(5)Chris W.
Discovered this place via YELP last week while on a business trip in St George. My colleagues and I all agreed, the pizza was fantastic. In fact, it could be the best pizza I've had in Utah, and I've eaten a lot of pizza. This week, while back in St George, I decided to show off my discovery to my wife. Unfortunately, on this trip, I learned that sometimes a restaurant is too good for its own good. How so? A customer walks in and orders a pizza for take-out and is told that it will be ready in 50 minutes. 50 minutes?? Another customer orders and sits down in one of 2 tables and waits for his pizza. After 35 minutes he learns that his order slip was lost and that his pizza was never started. Really? Were the employees so overwhelmed with the steady flow of customers that came through the door that customers, who were dining in, were lost? Here are some suggestions- 1. Move to a bigger place. There is an obviously loyal local following. Make the move. 2. Build a bigger oven. 3. Don't offer Facebook deals if you can't physically meet the demand. I hope Riggatti's figures it out. The potential for having the best pizza in Utah is there. The execution needs work.

Very tasty pizza! surprisingly delicious! Clean, modern style. Not much sitting room. Primarily a takeout place. And the wait was a little long. Excellent crust...so light and crispy yet soft inside. Excellent flavor of the red sauce. We loved the regular cheese pizza, the margherita, the Riggatti (pesto chicken), and the buffalo. Will definitely come back to this place.

This is the best pizza in St. George. The joint is small and seating is limited. But the pizza and breadsticks are amazing. Lots of variety. Priced higher than most but well worth it.
(5)Crystal K.
Don't get their buffalo chicken pizza....we were disappointed... It had way too much blue cheese and so thin with barely any chicken and not a good hot sauce flavor. But the pesto pizza tasted better

Delicious pizza and very creative offerings. The crust was amazing. Will definitely go again.

Everybody raves about this place being the best in town, which it is. It's not very hard to hold that title when you're up against places like Dominoes and Pizza Hut. It's very bland and it all kinda tastes the same. The bread sticks were good, better without their famous sauce. The price is pretty average for a "specialty" pizza place. When I pass through again I will not be eating here.

Nice little pizza place in STG....you must try the marguerite...yum yum yum....very very very nice people and service..cool music!

Nobody does pizza like Riggatti's, especially not in St. George, Utah. Sure, you can get wood-fired pizza from a brick oven just about anywhere these days, but can you get it from someone who actually made his own brick oven? A true artisan makes everything from scratch using locally sourced ingredients whenever available. Rigatti takes it to a higher level by building his own oven and creating his own dough. You said, Huh? Well, yes, he built his own oven (he didn't spend $100K to import one from Italy), and does it for others if they so desire. And about the flour, he doesn't import the expensive stuff in bags from Italy like other folks in his business do (this means better prices for the customer). Like a true Italian, he makes his own dough from local flour, and of course uses his own crafted pizza recipes with an artisan's touch that comes through in the texture, flavor, and overall delectability. No, he doesn't have the certification of authenticity from the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (VPN) of Naples, Italy like others of his ilk, but his pizza is so good, he could start his own certification program. If you go, you will love the pizza (we had two larges between the three of us and left nary a crumb), but be prepared, it is sometimes a good wait even for a pizza that takes about a minute to cook. That's because they are popular and usually busy. Like all good things, the wait is worth it.

If I were rating on pizza only it would be a five but a group of us went in to eat and there are only two small tables. But they were doing a bang up call in/pick up service. The pizza has a divine crust baked to perfection in a wood fire oven. The tables did have a bottle of olive oil to drizzle on the crust that was really good. We had the joSparatcus - it's like a gyro on a pizza. Recommend!

Hands down, the best pizza in town! Great wood fired flavor, delicious cheese and toppings!
(5)Mike B.
The wood fired crust is really delicious, however, the margherita was 3 parts sauce to 1 part crust which was 2 parts too much - couldn't pick it up and had to eat it with fork. If you order it, I'd suggest you tell Riggatti to back er on down a notch on the soupy sauce.

Hands down one of the best pies I've had, ANYWHERE. Makes my annual trip to St George for the IRONMAN 70.3 epic.

Stopped in St George and wanted pizza. When I searched Yelp Riggatti's wood fired pizza was reviewed highly. It didn't disappoint! Yummy wood fired pizza- definitely won't be disappointed! Call ahead for your order (our wait was 50 min)!

Nice wood-fired pizza in Saint George. A few of us were craving a good pie and a quick check into Yelp said Riggatti's was the place to go. They were right. Great bubbly crust, nice assortment of toppings (I went for the chicken pesto; it was yummy), and friendly staff. I do enjoy a good pizza, and it can be challenging to find a pizzeria that "gets it." Riggatti's gets it. If I lived in the area, I'd be back trying other pizzas all the time.

Love this place! First ate at the one in Springville and loved it! We are down here for a little vacation and saw Riggati's and had to eat there. Glad we did! Great pizza just like the one in Springville! Got the Hawaiian and the whole family loved it! Can't wait to eat it again!

Ever since we moved to St. George a year ago I've been looking for a great pizza place. Well I've found it, this pizza is the truth. We got the Phil and the Spartacus and both were great. The ingredients were fresh and the crust was perfectly baked with just the right amount of crisp. They were also fast so that's nice.
(5)Sam D.
Pizza was pretty good. The crust was delish, the toppings could be better. Maybe I just got the wrong ones? The staff was super nice! I'd go back :)
(4)Kristi S.
Based on Yelp recommendations we stopped here after a 9 Hour drive from Boise. The pizza is fantastic; chewy, but not doughy and with that great woodfired taste. The kids ate happily! The chefs were incredibly friendly, too. Warning that there is only one table and six counter spots if you plan to eat in!

On vacation in St. George and generally underwhelmed at the eating options. So very pleased to find such a good pizza take out so close. The pizza is very tasty and well cooked. Thin with a crispy base but not so crispy that you can't bend it into your mouth. I had the family size margherita which was well crafted. Minimal cheese and lots of yummy tomato sauce. My Wife had a pineapple large and reported it to be wonderful. We lived in NY / NJ for many years so have high expectations. We ordered Saturday night and the service was very quick. At Riggatti's they hit the mark.

I'm from out of town and so while traveling I like to try local places in the hopes of finding a diamond in the rough. Rigattis is one of the few good places to eat in St. George and their price is low for the quality of pizza they make which would go for $6-$8 more per pizza in a bigger city. I recommend the Jo Spartacus if you're adventurous and looking for something kind of unique. Not a big Restaraunt so plan to pick up and take back to your place
(5)Carolyn W.
So, they have this thing called the Georgiana, which is a dessert pizza with a cream cheese base, peaches and basil. Right! You know you want it! I was going to offer a slice to a friend, but oops! Suddenly it was just gone. It was better than the dinner pizza (the Pollo). But, that is saying a lot. The whole meal was just good.
(5)Cassandra L.
WOW this place makes some scrumptious pizza. The crust is perfectly crisp and smoky (you can actually watch them bake your pie in their big fiery brick oven in the middle of the kitchen); the sauce is fresh and delicious, a little bit sweet and perfectly seasoned; and the toppings (basilbasilbasil) are all fresh as fresh can be. As a vegan, I can't speak for the cheese, but I can say that these guys are freakin' awesome for accommodating my needs. In fact, I've heard that they'll even bake your own vegan cheese on your pizza for you if you bring it in (just a rumor, not confirmed, you should totally ask, though, they're super cool). The place itself is small, but really cute. The kitchen is all in plain view, with plexiglass screens to keep you from drooling all over their workspace as you watch the pizzaiolos work their magic. They're a pretty skilled bunch (have you seen them toss an extra large pizza dough in the air?! that sh*t cray) and unless you pop in during a rush, the wait time is only like 10 minutes. That's actually sort of a shame, because they have some serious eye candy working there, goodness gracious. If you time it right, you can watch the guys haul in the firewood for the ovens. Mm-mmm. ;) It's a little pricier than Papa Johns, but it is worth your money and it will make your taste buds happy. Just don't forget to tip the cooks. ;D
(5)Leslie K.
We had the spinaci, margherita, cheese-bacon sticks and cinnamon sticks. All were yummy. Staff is great.
(5)Justin H.
Great food with divine flavoring. We had the BBQ Hawaiian pizza! It was amazing!! The flavor was perfect because of the fire grilled. Then we got the meat lovers pizza, it was very filling. It only took approx 6-8 min to cook the pizza, so we didn't wait long. There wasn't much room to sit and eat, next time we'd get our pizza and go eat at a park. But the staff were friendly and it was fun to watch them it's the dough in the air!

A coworker and I had to go to Salt Lake and drive back a bunch of equipment to LA. We decided that St George would be a good place to stop for lunch. I've never been in Utah before and had no ideas where to have lunch at. My coworker suggested something called Brick Oven Pizza which I think is a chain. Being that I am no fan of chain restaurants I opened up yelp on my phone and Riggattis came up. I looked over the reviews and figured this would might be a good place so we rolled the dice and stopped here for a pizza. As others have said this is primarily a takeout joint, though you can eat your pizza there if you desire. We ordered the chicken alfredo pizza which I have never tried before. I was a little skeptical thinking "how is this going to taste?". Turns out it tasted pretty good. This is not something I would typically order but I am pretty flexible and my coworker suggested it so I figured why not. I wish there was a pizza place like this close to where I live.

Just a short way off I-15 Riggatti's with no hassle convenient parking it is worth the detour. Not to many pizzerias have quotes from Virgle on the wall but that is not the only feature of this small "restorante". The free standing wood fired oven stands in the middle of the open kitchen. The flavor of the pizza full and rich because of the high quality tomato sauce and other ingredients. Try it you'll like it especially after a day of hiking in Zion N P.
(4)Brooke S.
We ordered take-out pizza from Rigatti's twice in one weekend. It was that good! We had the pepperoni pizza, and the Pizza Pollo. We can't wait until we are in St. George again to try the Hawaiian-style pizza.
(5)Deborah B.
Far and away the best pizza in St George. A teeny bit pricey, but worth it. Love everything we have tried; which is most!
(5)Michael S.
Tiny little place with one table and a few stools against the wall. Best bet: Margherita pizza. Avoid: Buffalo chicken pizza, although good flavor, it was way too salty and droopy. Meh: Pepperoni pizza. Pretty okay but way too salty and a little oily. A good attempt at Neapolitan style pizza.
(3)Kristin S.
If you like authentic wood fired pizza, this is the place for you! Amazing ingredients and so fresh. The creamy, cheesy marinara for the breadsticks occupies my thoughts often. We can't get enough of it at my house. Cozy seating, not recommended for groups of more than four. Get take out or just walk down to town square and eat.
(5)Wade N.
What a GREAT addition to St George. Wonderful Pizza.
(5)Samantha F.
While their pizza is very good, I don't appreciate how they talk about customers. I feel customers make a business and you shouldn't be talkin crap right in front of them. We were all upset by this and will not return. (Have been going there loyally as well)
(1)Dylan R.
We ordered the "Riggatti". chicken with an alfredo sauce, with just a hint of pesto. Outstanding! My only issue is I wish it was bigger, but, I'm a black-belt eater!! I will definitely eat here again! Best for carry-out, not a lot of room inside.
(4)Rachel M.
My husband and I had the Jo Spartacus pizza which was red sauce, gyro meat, cheeses, red onion, and their tzatziki sauce. It was the BEST pizza we've ever had! Delicious! The garlic breadsticks came with this amazing dipping sauce. Everything was perfect! Next time we are in St. George we will definitely come back! Worth every penny! Our 1 yr old even came back over and over again for another bite!
(5)Ashleigh M.
Margherita Pizza is my favorite in St. George HOWEVER- I wish they had fresh salami to add to it if you want! Would make it infinitely better and maybe 5 stars for me. Still- keep up the good work.
(4)John R.
This is unquestionably the best pizza in the St. George, UT area. We live near St. George and would not think of getting pizza any place else when we are in town... Best crust I have ever had!
(5)Raul H.
Yes! they know how to make a good pizza!! Finally!
(5)K B.
Delish. Best pizza in town. Chewy and crisp crust. We will be trying more flavors soon. Give them a try.
(5)Mark O.
This place is a gem. Very few seats so best for a take out. We had a cheese and a BBQ Chicken and they both were delicious. The wood fired oven gives the pizza a flavor you just can't get from a regular oven. Go early. We got the last pizzas around 8 pm on a Friday night.

On the way back from hiking in Zion, checked Yelp to find good food in St. George, saw the Bear Paw Cafe and headed into town. Got to the cafe, and while I was waiting for a table I got a look at the food coming out, which looked kind of ordinary (no disrespect, Bear Paw Cafe, I'll try you later). I had seen the wood-fired pizza sign next door so I bailed and ordered a pizza. Lunch special- personal pizza and a Pepsi for right around $8. Tough making a choice on the big blackboard, I end up ordering the BBQ pizza chicken, pollo something, chicken, red onion, BBQ sauce, which turns out to be fantastic. Maybe the best pizza crust ever- I don't normally eat the crust, but I ate the whole thing. Would have been 5 stars, but there was a little too much BBQ sauce and the pie was a little sweet. Still, delicious, and stopping here will probably become a tradition on future Utah trips. Any time they cook the pizza in a wood-fired oven right in front of you it's tough to go wrong. This place is the opposite of chain pizza.
(4)Cade S.
Best pizza in st. george !! Love the thin chewy pizza crust ! Very fresh ingredients . Definitely coming back again !
(5)Gina B.
So good! My favorite is the Pizza Pollo. The pizzas are tossed right in front of you and baked in a big wood burning oven. I love this place.
(5)Pete J.
November 2012--This place just opened. I'm a local and I usually don't buy pizza in this town because it's all from chains or local shops that are overpriced in my opinion. Until now. Riggatti's is obviously a small on-of-a-kind place. It's take out only. They cook the pizza right in front of you in their wood fired oven. They also hand toss the dough, which is fun to watch. The price is reasonable, $8 - 12 for a medium pizza. The menu is simple, about 8 pizzas. The margherita and veggie are my favs. The wait is usually 5 - 15 min. If you just want simple great pizza with no unnecessary complications, this place is great.
(5)John W.
Pizza was excellent. Best in St. George that I have found in the 8 years I've been here. Service was fantastic and attentive.
(5)Doug B.
This is the best pizza in town by far! Nice thin crust with lots of cheese and quality. I highly recommend the ch bacon cheese sticks. They are very generous with the toppings and cheese. I think a sign of a good pizza and restaurant is consistency; I have been there lots of times now and Riggatti's impresses every time!
(5)Kathy R.
Best Margarita pizza I've had since I visited Italy!
(5)Crystal W.
Very good pizza! Best pizza I have had in St George! They have a delicious variety of pizza, friendly staff, and great customer service. Its a bit pricier, but definitely worth it.
(5)Kellie N.
So happy to have a delicious pizza place in St George! We enjoyed the Margherita and veggie pizza and liked both of them. We were a little surprised at how small the large pizza was. It was just enough for two adults (4 small slices each) and we aren't fatties.
(4)Russ C.
Best pizza around. Not a place to sit down and eat, but worth taking home. I've tried the pizza factory craze and there's no comparison, you'd be crazy to not pick this place instead. I visit St George occasionally, and this will be a regular stop.
(5)Robert J.
So amazing, I can't say enough. I have had pizza all over and this is the best! Owner is super nice too.
(5)Dana B.
Best pizza in St George! Fantastic crust, great service. Super quick and super good! Repeat customer!
(5)Yvonne B.
Best pizza!!!!! Came from Vegas and will come back for this pizza many more times
(5)Solinda L.
I love Riggatti's. I discovered this pizza because of The Pizza Cart in Cedar City. The food is made to order right in front of you. The pizza crust is tossed in the air and the ingredients are layered to perfection. I love the chicken, bacon, ranch with bbq sauce and the Riggatti is wonderful too. You must try the cheesy bacon bread sticks with extra garlic I could eat them everyday.
(5)Sharron D.
"0" stars! but won't let you post. Dude, your pizza tied for the worst pizza we ever had with a pizza place in prescott, az. I think my husband and I have given up on "pizza" in this part of the country. We're from California and we have many poor franchise pizza places but, we also have excellent pizza. Here's the deal. The crust has to be not thin ( I thought yours was a tortilla) and not thick. The pizza dough IS the base of the pizza! You should be able to pick up a slice of pizza with the toppings on and not have it fall onto your plate. It should have flavor like a good bread. The sauce should pave the way with an Italian tasteful flavor. Not too much but enough to give it a little spice and tang. The toppings must be fresh especially on a vegetarian pizza. They should include onions, tomatoes, green peppers, black olives and mushrooms. No artichokes! The chokes overwhelmed the flavor of the mushrooms and peppers.....very little veggies for a vegetarian pizza. The other half of our pizza was pepperoni and black olives. Your pepperoni is very inexpensive and salty.....that's why you can sell a pepperoni pizza for 5 bucks. I'm sorry this review seems so harsh but for 17 bucks we expected much more. In a real pinch we buy a large pizza at costco that's better (edible) for 10 bucks. Sorry for this post but to rate pizza you have to know what's good in the first place! Pizza Lovers!
